WALLS

As the saying goes 'If walls could speak'
What tales would they tell of laughter & shrieks.
But stoic they stand tall & majestic
Proud of their silence, their honour still innocent.
The soul so pure, so true, so good
Always tells a man what he should
The body a wall, a barrier so strong,
No soul today can reach the heart.
Covered with soot & grime & dust
the modern soul trembles covered in rust..
Walls they both are, walls to protect,
But one knows its duty, the body just forgets..
The helpless soul today a mere spectator
As walls speak the body talks & jeers
Buried deep, inside the deepest grave,
a cry echoes lost to the shambles..
