That Nameless Feeling

It's strange
The way it creeps upon you
Silently during the day
Violently in the dead of the night
It slowly grows
Watered by the distance
Tended by the heart
You try to run away
But it is your shadow,
Chasing you everywhere
The friend you never had
The foe bringing out the best in you
You have no name for it
For words never do it justice
Flustered yet exultant
Emotions, a riot within you
The beast never to be tamed
The beauty beholden in the eyes
For it is sheer insanity
That nameless ecstasy
Which the world calls love.

December Rains

It never rains in December
But is there a time for memories to drench?
For skies to cry their fears through
And awaken to a bright new day?

It never rains in December
But is there a reason for your heart to beat?
For thunder to sing its woes pitiful
And return to a fitful short slumber?

It never rains in December
But is there a time for happiness to shine through?
For lighting to brighten darkened eyes
And mesmerise a newly hopeful you?

It never rains in December
But the s
mell of wet earth teaches otherwise
Stealing a smile from your lips
Making you dream for some more time
It never rains in December
But the vagaries of nature the heart knows not
Skipping with joy it feels the cool breeze
Stretches it's arms to hold the little drops
It never rains in December
But the starry skies make way for clouds
Awakening the dreamers, soothing souls
Who says, it never rains in December?

Dreams

Days run into each other
Nights too quickly end
Memories fade into puzzled albums
Eyes permanently crinkled gaze
Hands shiver, feel for familiar comforts
Feet stumble, each step a new struggle
Tears come easy and so do fears
Hours are many and joys too little
Life long lived, moments still unspent
Hearts still beat awaiting a little hope
A hug to chase tears, a kiss for wrinkled skin
A laughter once heard, stored deep within
A place called home, a place they know
To be welcomed by someone their own
Weary souls each night lay to rest
Smiling silently in their sleep
Through dreams wishful desires manifest.

Time-turner

A walk through some unknown lanes
A brand new place, a brand new name
Oh, how I miss those days
When joy tripped walking by...
Empty pockets but burning minds
Wishful thinking, playing games
Oh, I wish I could go back
Where smiles languished swimming by...
Friends or foes not faceless digits
Acting smart, fidgeting silly
Oh, if I could turn time now
When laughter halted sailing by...
Books a burden yet a leisure
All new cherished, old a treasure
Oh, where do I get them days again
When grins paused playing by...
Tears and happiness mingled freely
Moments sweet, memories sour
Oh, saved in my heart they stay
When the world stilled gaily spinning by...

She

She confirmed to no norms
Rules just writings in the air
Like a bird she soared along
Fearing no one but her heart
A solitary happy soul
With no hand to hold
She did just as she pleased
Some called her mad
Most thought her crazy
But it ever mattered not
Because all she was, was free...

My Mistress

I stood still as she called out to me
A sensuous whisper, a gentle caress
Like a bead of warm water
Running down my naked back
My mistress, she owned me
And yet I was not her only slave
Many before lay slain to her charms
I fought, I cried, I ran, I begged
She laughed
Her voice a cold trickle
At the end of a hot, sunny day
Temptation she knew not
For sin to her was mother's womb
I was but a mere child
I knew not, she would love me then
A quiet spell as she cast
Capturing minds, twisting hearts
It was her body I craved
To dig my fingers in
Draw blood from naked flesh
I tried
I tried at the end of each day
She only smiled
For she knew she owned me then
My body her orifice
A path to my hidden soul
My violation she enjoyed
I shuddered but in pleasure
Her silken hair through my fingers
And yet her face, I knew not
Dreaming of her I spent years
Of capturing her my fantasies insane
And yet, where she lived no one knew not
Silently she disappeared
Each crack of dawn
Nameless, faceless the seductress quiet
For her slaves she was named
Night.
